I know, I know, I am back in California and still sending you pictures of the kitchen. The reason for that is clear, I have nothing going on here and I haven't finished sharing things, from there, with you. Just bear with me because I only have so many pictures and we only did so much work so you are safe, this can't last forever.
This photo is of the granite on the desk area.
The kitchen island has this incredible vein in it. the two slabs that were used for the kitchen were from the same exact piece of granite but just were different depth slices into the same parent piece. This next photo is the piece in the corner of the kitchen between the sink and the cook top and it has the same vein in it as on the island just a slightly different thickness of the vein. When you stand in the kitchen and see both pieces together it looks brilliantly.
I am so excited by it. I love how it seems to move through the room. I am amazed how much I love the granite being that I didn't really want granite in the first place. Somehow those slabs drew me in. It was as if they whispered my name across the granite yard and I followed. I know, I know, sounds so corny but it is kinda true.
I LOVE IT!!
